Monsters Scars (2023) is a zine that was printed in several inkjet copies. The original zine features embroidery on paper, representing the scars of monsters, alongside a letter from my sexologist, crossed out with pencil. The zine explores the challenges of the medical process that trans people undergo to access various forms of care, including hormone therapy and surgeries. The requirement to declare oneself "sick" in order to receive treatment can be perceived as a violent act, reducing transgender identity to the realm of the pathological.
