Between Care and Denial (2024) is a photo series exploring the delicate balance between healing and accepting what cannot be repaired. Through the act of stitching broken leaves collected from my neighborhood, the project reflects on the tension between the desire to fix and the inevitability of decay. Each embroidered leaf becomes a symbol of the savior complex— believing that something must always be repaired —. In this context, care is not about preservation, but about accompanying what is transitional. Eight 17x22 Inkjet Prints.
