Queer as in Not Yet (2024) explores the act of transformation through embroidery, using it to revisit and reframe queer experiences. The process of stitching mirrors the fluid, evolving nature of queer identities. Each photograph is transferred onto watercolor paper and then embroidered with golden threads, creating a tactile reimagining of past moments.
In this series, taking care becomes a process of change — reworking the past to make it present and honoring queer experiences through continuous reimagining. Queer as in Not Yet is an exploration of how transformation and preservation are intertwined, where care itself is a form of becoming.
